About

Hi, I’m J.T. Bugos, a strength and conditioning specialist, coffee aficionado, and father of 2.
I’m also a former fatty.
In 2016 I was 250 pounds and filled with self-loathing. Well, not truly — that was just a good reason to make a Grinch reference.
But I was unhappy with how I looked and felt, so I set out to lose weight.
Armed with nothing but my ignorant ambition, I lost 75 pounds through determination and my own learning.
I discovered along the way I had more discipline and willpower than I believed, and I loved learning about fitness and health.
So I decided to become a coach and help others.
Eventually my coaching bore a philosophy:
Everyone should train like an athlete.
Call it the everyday athlete for people who want to feel strong, lean, and functional.
I blend that philosophy into efficient, effective, and no-guesswork programs for online clients, and use YouTube to teach movement and form I used to in-person.
When I’m not nerding out on exercise programs and movement, I’m probably drinking a coffee (#pourovergang) with wifey and chasing around our 2 kids.
