Hi, I’m j.T. Bugos
I’m a personal trainer, coffee enthusiast, and father of two.
I also believe that everyone should train like an athlete.
Call it the everyday athlete for people who want to feel strong, lean, and functional.
This philosophy came to me as I went through my own journey from fit high school athlete, to fat college student, and then back to fit. That’s what led me to become a coach, and as I learned more, I set my sights on working with athletes.
As I studied how to train athletes, I realized one thing:
Everybody needs this kind of training.
The principles of athletic training — developing strength, muscle, and speed — are also what help us “Average Joes” feel strong, lean, and functionally fit.
Not only that, but training like an athlete maximizes our longevity. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to just live a long time; I want to be walking to coffee shops in my 80s, too.
So I pivoted and created a philosophy that takes training like an athlete and adapts it to everyone.
I bring this to the table with my coaching, along with sarcastic humor, coffee recipes, and book recommendations.
